Start each area by saying,

“Hey Google, let’s fight!”

An area is divided into one or more 60-second rounds, during which several enemies will show up. It’s up to you to combine element words with action words and see what works best to knock them down.

At any time during combat, you can say “retreat” to go back to idle mode, where enemies don’t swarm in. You’ll lose any progress you made in the area, but your mana and your Brute’s HP will be restored, and your Brute will begin to accumulate XP again. This will give you a chance to level up a bit and try the area again when you’re ready.

Otherwise, to clear each area, defeat all the enemies by shouting out spells using an element and an action word!

Merlin! The wisest of wizards, most knowledgeable of sorcerers. Your tutor and mentor in magic, he will guide you through the levels with some hints and pointers.

To cast a spell, players need to combine an element word and a spell word.

Element words are related to the four elements: “fire,” “water,” “earth,” and “air.” But you don’t have to limit yourself to just those four words – you can say any number of other related ones, such as “magma” for “fire;” or “hydro” for “water.”. You have access to every element word from the start of the game; try to discover them all!

Spell words, on the other hand, are unlocked by fighting monsters and beating Bosses. While the element word determines the spell cast element, the spell word determines how it will look like. These will be words such as “ball” or “spin.”

Spells, then, are combinations of those two classes of words: “fire ball,” “magma spin,” etc.

When your XP bar (in yellow) is full, just say

“level up”

at any time to level up. When you increase in level, both you and your Brute will become stronger.

We will not tell you exactly how many combinations of spells you can cast in Voice Quest, but there are over 2,500! And this number will only increase with future content updates!

When you kill a monster, you win XP - Experience Points, filling up a gauge on your screen. When the XP gauge is full, you can level up: this makes your Brute stronger and your spells more powerful.

Casting a spell costs a bit of magical energy, called Mana. When you run out of Mana, you won’t be able to cast any more spells until you complete the area, or retreat back to idle mode.

To increase the amount of mana available to you, look out for Mana shards to drop when you kill an enemy. Gather enough shards, and you’ll be able to shout out more spells!

Here’s a tip: If you level up during a fight, you recharge a little of HP and Mana!

Levelling up both restores the Brute’s HP, and increases the maximum HP they can have at the start of each area!

Yes, each element is stronger or weaker against one of the other elements.!

Water douses fire, but gets unruly with air; fire uses earthy elements as fuel, but gets put out by water. Earth stops air ,but is fuel for a fire, and air unsettles water, but doesn’t move earth much.

Find out the best combinations to get the strongest results!

The more you use an element word, the weaker that word gets. If you alternate it with others, it keeps its power!

Test your limits, Apprentice! Imagination is your best weapon.

Congrats, it means you’re creating Streaks, which gives your spells a mighty power-up! The more you cast with unique words, the stronger your spells get!
